ASK.com/ Dictionary.com definition: American exceptionalism is the proposition that the United States is different from other countries in that it has a specific world mission to spread liberty and democracy. It is not a notion that the United States is quantitatively better than other countries or that it has a superior culture, but rather that it is "qualitatively different".
My Definition of American Exceptionalism: American Exceptionalism is the idea that America is “better” than any other country. That America accepts all races and cultures of people which accumulate into a stronger overall society, one that is stronger than the select individual culture that most nations have. America is strong because we are a multicultural unity that illustrates the greatness the world could accomplish if we worked together. Our democracy and liberty encourages young minds to think, thus producing a very promising future for America.
